The Ismayilli region is mainly concentrated on the southern slope of the Main Caucasian Range, in the high and middle mountain ranges, in the lowlands of Acinohur and in Alazan Haftaran valley is located. The highest peaks in the district are located at the Babadag peak (3629 m), Asaddağ (3471 m), Qaraburg (3345 m), Shahnazarard (2874 m) and Gamza (2139 m). In parallel with the main swimmer line, the Qovdag Range (Qovdag Peak 2437 m) and the Niyaldagh Range (Yelligadik Peak — 2322 m) are located in the south. The Nyel ridge is surrounded by the Horst — Anticlinorium — shaped relief formed between the Goychay and Agsuchay valleys, surrounded by tectonic fractures from the south and north, and lays on its slopes. In the middle mountain, the Lahij and Müdirü mountainous slopes occupy a large area. Relief crosses Girdimankay valley to the east and goes to Shamakhi-Gobustan plateau.
